It was a Saturday Afternoon two years after our first date. I was working at the kitchen table he was watching Football. We were talking about going to the same restaurant he had taken me to on our 1st date (Bonaparte Retreat, Bonaparte Iowa) it had become our little tradition. When he unexpectantly came up pushed the chair out got down on bended knee, told me he Loved me, wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and asked me " Will you Marry Me" holding a pearl ring in his hand that he had given me for Christmas. I was shocked, and had to say " Are you Serious " because it was so random and out of the blue.  With tears in my eyes he smiled and said " Yes Baby I'm Serious" I wrapped my arms around his neck squeezed him tight and said "Yes! Absolutely Yes!" He then says " I would have done this a long time ago, but you were the one that had the 2 year rule." I found out later, he had been thinking about it a while. He purchased the ring at Christmas as a feeler ring to check my ring finger size, but he couldn't wait any longer. This is how he is at Christmas too :) We picked the engagement ring out together, it was Superbowl Weekend and the 1st ring we looked at. We were Back to the house in time for the Game!
